I’m ready for Massive Attack to drop something that cuts back to the darkness of Mezzanine, not the softer, melodic vibe of Heligoland. Right now the world feels driven by greed, lies and power plays—you don’t hear that urgency in their recent work. I want heavy, unsettling beats, deep bass and vocals that carry real dread, like “Risingson” did.

I still believe Robert Del Naja aka 3D is also the real Banksy and that same instinct for hidden messages and shadowy subversion should come through in the music.

Give me tracks that feel urgent and raw, not polite or easy to digest. I’m looking for guitars that crackle like danger, bass that blends with the kick drum rumbling in your chest, street smart beats and lyrics that call out corruption and fear instead of glossing over it.

If Massive Attack really wants to speak to 2025, they need to lean into what made Mezzanine so powerful: unsettling atmosphere, production that feels immediate, and themes that force you to look at the mess around us.

That’s the album I’m waiting for.
